Thom Browne AW13

Not one to shy away from cutting his fashion with a subversive connotation, Thom Browne designed a gloomy autumn/winter 2013 collection, dressing his men in hues of black and grey, reinforcing a boxy silhouette from the structure of hats – to the finish of shoulders. Browne patched together a tonal throng of prints for a collection of interchangeable patterns, reinterpreting his trademark habiliment for a stunning wardrobe of overcoats, blazers, shorts, dress skirts and skirts – all fabricated for men. Admittedly, it’s not the most readily wearable stuff in the world – Thom Browne’s eponymous collection rarely is – it’s however yet another ground-breaking departure from the norm for the man who practically invented the modern man’s super-slim suit.
